What rankcusp is
It measures which App Store keywords you rank 11-30 for, and names one metadata move for each.
rankcusp measures, every day, where your app ranks for the phrases people search on the App Store. Its real job is to find one band: 11-30. Apple has already connected you to that word but has not put you on the first page - and one metadata edit can reach it.
Why 11-30?
The first page takes nearly all of a search's traffic. There is no metadata work to do for a keyword at 200; a keyword at 5 is already working. Between 11 and 30 is where each character you spend pays the most: Apple has made the connection, what is missing is placement.
What is measured
- Rank - for every keyword and every storefront you track, daily, including the days you do not look.
- Popularity - Apple's 5-100 search-volume scale. Apple's own figure when Ads is connected; otherwise an estimate from store data, marked with a
~. - Difficulty - how contested the first page is, 0-100.
- Rivals' ranks - read out of the same search, so they cost nothing extra.
- Ratings and reviews, including the complaints that repeat in rivals' 1-2★ reviews.
- Screenshot and icon changes - when a rival last refreshed their creatives.
