Cusp Actions
Cusp actions
The threshold band, turned into a work list sorted by popularity.
A list is only a work list if it has an order. The Cusp Actions screen sorts the threshold band by popularity and puts the single suggested move for that word next to each row.
The suggestion is not a sentence, it is a placement decision: where the word sits now, where it should move, which field has room.
One move
One suggestion per keyword. Changing five things at once makes it impossible to learn which one worked.
Sorted by popularity
Inside the band, the most searched first. That is where the characters go.
With its reasoning
Every verdict rests on that keyword's first page: who is there, and how many carry the phrase in their title.
Brand warning
If a phrase resembles somebody else's brand we say so - Apple rejects that metadata and delays your version.
How the verdict is built
The first page is stored for every keyword: which apps rank, how many ratings they have, whether they carry the phrase in their titles. The verdict comes out of those observations, not out of a model's intuition.
If the apps at the top do not carry the word in their titles, that search is being won by brand and behaviour rather than metadata - you do not enter it by adding a word, and the screen says so.
After you finish the list
Applying the suggestion and shipping the version is not the end; the real question starts there. The Outcomes screen measures both sides of the edit: which keywords rose and which fell.
A metadata change always works in both directions. A report that only shows what you gained will please you every time and teach you nothing.
What it does not do
We do not claim to measure what we cannot. This screen's limits:
- We do not publish metadata for you; we prepare the draft and leave the shipping to you.
- The suggestion is a priority, not a prediction: it says “this word is worth spending characters on”, not “you will reach position N”.
Frequently asked
- Do I have to apply the suggested move?
- No. Under every row are the observations that produced it; if you disagree you can see the reasoning and make your own call.
- How many changes should I make at once?
- One variable per version. Change the title, the subtitle and the images together and whatever happens, you will not know why.
