You can open a Search Ads account and reach keyword popularity data without running ads - no campaign and no billing details required.
rankcusp does not require it: by default the scores are estimated from the store's public endpoints and work in every storefront. When a Search Ads session is connected (`ASO_CLI_ENABLED=1` and one `npx aso auth` in a terminal), Apple's own figures replace the estimate - better data, but only for the United States storefront.
